Rehabilitative Care
Dr. De Brine would like to congratulate anyone reaching the rehabilitative care phase of treatment. Prior to reaching this stage, treatment consisted of relief care, in which she sought to alleviate any pain or discomfort. The symptoms that the patient was hoping to rid themselves of have likely begun to disappear somewhat already (if not completely). This phase may continue for a few more weeks, depending on how much the symptoms are still bothering the patient (if at all). Dr. De Brine will then move on to the rehabilitative phase of treatment, in which she will correct the patient’s spinal function and the Vertebral Subluxation Complex that caused the pain.
Before this stage of treatment, the patient should have been given exercises that are specific for their individual condition. The patient ideally would have chosen to diligently incorporate these exercises in their day to day activities, in addition to chiropractic care. This will prove an important decision, as the stretching and muscle work will help make the most of their chiropractic adjustments.
Dr. De Brine and the office staff are always available for any questions or concerns patients may have about their care, so feel free to ask or bring them to our attention. They look forward to beginning your treatment and following your progress as you experience the benefits of chiropractic care.
